A Bible Boot Camp is Transforming Youth in South Africa
Joackim Kunda of Teen Missions South Africa shared his inspiring story with Oasis:
“My passion is to witness the transformative power of positive change in the lives of young people across South Africa. Many of them face significant challenges, including the struggles with drugs and crime. However, I firmly believe that with access to the Bible and compassionate guidance, they can develop the discipline and resilience needed to navigate and overcome these obstacles.
One of the most exciting parts of our work is The Lord’s Boot Camp, a vibrant youth camp we host every December through Teen Missions South Africa.

New Bible for Street Preacher
This is Pastor Luke, of Malawi. He holds his worn-out New Testament Bible which has seen him preach the Lord’s Word gracefully in the streets of Blantyre for years.
He also holds his new Africa Study Bible! This groundbreaking resource has thousands of study notes alongside God’s Word to form his preaching and help him better lead his community.
Our team witnessed him use it to bring two Malawians to Christ that day!
Join us, as we get more Bibles and more resources to more pastors and leaders in Africa.

Helping High Schoolers in Liberia Learn about God
Cyrus Cooper Smythe High School Ministry received 40 copies of the New Living Translation: Africa Edition Text Bible.
Armed with the power of God’s Word, 40 Liberian high school students are now equipped to engage with their Bible studies and fellowship groups. Through partnership with Liberia Baptist Theological Seminary, these young lives are now able draw near to Jesus like never before.

Prison Chaplains Trained in Rural Nigeria
Good News also trains rural pastors and laypeople for effective holistic ministry outside the prison walls, particularly focusing on the family members of people in prison.
Good News’ work is already bearing eternal fruit. Forty-year-old Samuel was sentenced to five years in prison. He despised the church. But on his birthday, a fellow inmate persuaded him to join a worship service, and he gave himself to Christ. In addition to healing those with bitterness like Samuel, Good News chaplains and volunteers help inmates overcome trauma and other mental health issues.
