Virginia Anne Elliott

Virginia Anne Elliott believed deeply in God's Word and in its power to transform lives.

Together with her husband, Edward, she helped found Oasis International in 1978. Through her faith, encouragement, generosity, and steadfast commitment, she helped lay the foundation for a ministry that has now served Christians across Africa for nearly five decades.

In honour of Virginia's life and legacy, her family has invited those who wish to remember her to make a gift to Oasis International.

A Life of Faith, Generosity, and Steadfastness

Virginia was more than a founding member of Oasis International. She was a woman whose faith and quiet steadfastness helped make this work possible.

When the ministry began, its future was far from certain. Like every new venture, there were challenges, uncertainties and difficult seasons. But Virginia believed in and stood faithfully behind the vision.

Her encouragement strengthened those around her. Her generosity helped sustain the mission. And her unwavering faith helped this ministry continue through times when continuing was not easy.

Without Virginia, Oasis International may never have begun—and may not have continued through the years that followed.
