Give in Nigeria

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) invites you to be part of a bold national movement: equipping 500,000 Nigerian pastors with a high quality Bible they can trust and tools they can use.
Why so many? Because Nigeria has over 100 million Christians—and for every Bible you give, you’re impacting an average congregation of 200 people.
Every Pastor Needs a Bible. You Can Help.
Many pastors across Nigeria serve faithfully without access to needed resources to equip their preaching and ministry, let alone those that speak to their African contexts. Through Nigeria Pastor Sunday, we aim to change that—region by region, church by church, pastor by pastor.
Together with local CAN leaders and church networks, your support ensures every region of Nigeria is reached—from rural villages to crowded cities—with Bibles and training resources that equip leaders for life-transforming ministry.
Watch CAN and Oasis Leaders share more about this partnership:
Equip over half a million pastors in Nigeria
Archbishop Dr Daniel Okoh, President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) is calling on you to help equip thousands of pastors who are faithfully serving at the grassroots who need Bibles to grow the faith of their congregations and communities. Join him to equip these pastors and leaders for effective discipleship.
Your gift will make a difference
Dr Fredrick Odutola, Fundraising Chairperson for the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), is passionate about seeing Nigeria become a nation after God's heart.
Will you join him by partnering with us to distribute Bibles to hundreds of thousands of Nigerians?
Stand with the Church in Nigeria
Dr Matthew Elliott, President of Oasis International, shares how vital it is to equip leaders and pastors across Nigeria, from Lagos to the most remote villages. Your gift fuels ministry, encourages leaders, and spreads hope across Nigeria with the Africa Study Bible. Stand with the church in Nigeria. Let’s equip every pastor to lead boldly—with God’s Word in their hands.
Why the Africa Study Bible Matters for Pastors in Rural Nigeria
A Voice Rooted in Local Realities
Written by over 350 African scholars and church leaders, the Africa Study Bible speaks directly into the realities these pastors face—perseverance, faith, and community life in challenging contexts. It helps them see that God’s Word meets them where they are, offering wisdom that reflects both Scripture and African experiences.
Hope in Hard Places
In many rural churches, access to training and study materials is limited. The Africa Study Bible becomes a lifeline, bringing theological insights and culturally relevant applications right into the hands of pastors who might never attend a Bible school. With it, they can teach sound doctrine, counter false teaching, and shepherd with confidence.
Strength for Faithful Shepherds
Many pastors in these regions serve without pay or recognition—but their faithfulness sustains the Church across Nigeria. The Africa Study Bible equips them to lead, disciple, and nurture their congregations through the richness of God’s Word—even when they stand alone in the field.
A Partnership that Honors the Church
There are many trained, diligent pastors and vibrant ministries already at work across Nigeria. The CAN Bible Project is not about replacing them—it’s about standing alongside those serving in under-resourced areas, ensuring every pastor has access to God’s Word and trusted study tools.
A Harvest that Multiplies
Each Africa Study Bible given to a rural pastor becomes a seed that multiplies—often shared among five or more believers. From one Bible, entire congregations are strengthened, and new leaders are raised up. Together, we can help equip every pastor with God’s Word—and strengthen the church from the village to the city.
Equipping Those Who Serve Where the Harvest Is Great
Across Nigeria, thousands of pastors serve faithfully—often in places that many will never see. More than 80% of Nigerian pastors serve in rural areas and small towns, far from major cities and theological training centers. Most are self-funded, caring for their families and congregations with few resources but deep devotion.
The Africa Study Bible changes that story.
